SK DYNASTY – OFFICIAL RULES
Objective
Dynasty is a strategic battle card game where players build their forces, adapt to changing environments, and outmaneuver their opponents. The goal is to win the most hands in a round, ultimately claiming victory in the war.
Game Components
Each player needs their own set of Dynasty cards, consisting of:
-
Character Cards – The core of your forces, each with unique stats.
-
Item Cards – Used to enhance character abilities or provide tactical advantages.
-
Environment Cards – Introduce changing battle conditions that can buff or nerf stats.
1. Setup
-
Each player splits their main deck into three separate piles: Character Cards, Environment Cards, and Item Cards.
-
Shuffle each deck and place them in the BARRACKS zone.
-
Each player draws the following cards without viewing them and places them in the READY ZONE:
-
10 Character Cards (20 for double battles)
-
5 Environment Cards
-
2 Item Cards
-
2. Starting the Game
-
Decide who attacks first.
3. Playing a Hand
-
Attacker plays an Environment Card
-
Draw an Environment Card from the READY ZONE and place it in the ACTIVE ENVIRONMENT slot.
-
Flip a coin to determine which set of modifiers will be applied to characters this hand, the second set of modifiers will go to the defender.
-
-
Attacker prepares their character
-
The attacker and defender can view their Item Cards at this point.
-
Draw the top Character Card from the READY ZONE and apply the environmental modifiers.
-
The attacker can choose to play one Item Card with their Character Card.
-
The attacker can choose to GAMBLE their ability:
-
Gambling replaces a +1/-1 ability bonus with a randomized roll on a 3-sided die (0, 1, or 2).
-
This can result in the ability being 0, +/-1, or +/-2.
-
-
-
Attacker initiates the fight
-
Place the Character Card (and Item, if played) in the FIGHT ZONE.
-
Call out one (or two for Double Stat) Stat Categories from the Character Card.
-
-
Defender responds
-
The defender follows the same steps:
-
Draw and prepare their Character Card (and optional Item Card).
-
Place it in the FIGHT ZONE.
-
-
-
Compare the chosen stat(s)
-
Adjust for any modifiers and compare stats.
-
The higher stat(s) wins the hand.
-
4. Winning a Hand & Tie Rules
-
Dynasty Mode: Winner takes all played cards from that hand.
-
Casual Play: Cards return to the respective BARRACKS instead of being won.
-
Ties:
-
If stats are tied, compare TOTAL STATS (sum of all stats except height & weight).
-
If TOTAL STATS are also tied, all cards are exhausted and returned to the BARRACKS.
-
Hardcore Dynasty Mode: Instead of using TOTAL STATS, each player draws one additional Character Card to join the FIGHT ZONE for a tiebreaker.
-
5. Ending the Game
-
The game lasts 10 hands.
-
The player who wins the most hands wins the game.
